I want this canard to be perfect. literally. Like a 6" paint job. I spent a good amount of time wet sanding the canard and elevators to 320 grit in prep for final Paint. After laying down 3 good coats of paint, I did notice the leading edge still had some pin holes that need to be dealt with so instead of continuing with the drop coats of paint, I stopped and will tackle those in a couple days after the paint has cured. I'm hoping to avoid large areas of repair and really going after the imperfections with the least amount of sanding required. Still, the paint lays down like a dream and looks fantastic. Next time she sees paint she will also see clear coat and that's what I've been waiting for!
