...I worked with a lot of glue, used up 30+ nitrile gloves, a bunch of popsicle sticks, many rags...but got the horizontal portion of the canopy glued. I learned a lot - wasted a lot of glue trying to get a good fillet, and then ended up going to high over the tape line so I had to smooth it off / push it down to the bottom side fillet. In the end, it worked out well and except for throwing away too much glue, I am happy with the results! I will do some more smoothing with another "coat" after this cures - and I take the clamps off - and fill in the last of the holes.
Then I will glue the canopy bow to canopy frame.
Ironic that today marks the 5 year anniversary of the start of this build. Originally, I estimated 5 years to complete the build - but what the heck did I know, I had never built a plane before. :) It's been a good education.
