Brief Description:  Wiring Pitot / Heater

I wanted to get the pitot heat wired up and get all the connections done on the pitot heat and the landing/Taxi and Nav/Strobes...but as I have said before... in airplane building - time, money and effort are doubled, while results are halved.

I ran a piece of rope from the main buss #1 power supply across to the landing gear tower down to the wire conduit runs under the main wing spar channel to the wing root opening and measured that distance, thenmeasured to the wing mid-way exit at the pitot tube location. It was there that I noticed that if I moved the exit on the conduit one rib outboard, there would be no interference with the aileron bellcrank. Easy decision, adjustment made. It was here that I sent texts to a few fellow builder buddies to get their opinion - and thankfully, Steve, Greg and Joe responded.. Based on their advice, I opened up the conduit wire exit and double shrink tubed the wires to protect them from chafing. Thanks guys.

I did get the pitot tube wiring measured, cut, run and the connections done and labels made for both wires (in multiple locations) so that was good - but for 3 + hours of work - I really thought I would get more done. Oh well. such is airplane building.
