I have been thinking about the avionics stack and how to properly support those boxes. They don't weigh much, except for the 650, so it could use some additional structure. Initially, my thought was to anchor the aft ends of the boxes to angle that was attached to the cockpit bulkheads. But upon further review, if I wanted to remove the panel someday, I should make that support part of the panel...so taking a scrap of the aluminum sheet I thought about attaching it to the angle at the front of the panel. The sheet has to be flush on the tray side so the doubler and nutplates obviously go on the outside. I drew it up and started cutting and drilling a few lightening holes. The 1/16” sheet is probably overkill, but it’s what I had.
