Brief Description: BU Battery/GAD29/GEA24 placement
After taking off the front top skin, I had more thinking to do. More thinking about ways to place these "3 boxes". I would like to keep the Backup battery as far aft as possible as it weighs 2.25 pounds, but it also needs some cooler air moving around it, so it's not good to put it under the floor skins as I was pondering. I also pondered placing a Garmin box or two on the aft baggage wall, but in the end, due to wire runs, I settled on placing them all in the same "cradle".
I placed them with the wire harness connection facing up so the wire runs can come in from any direction. The BU battery will be slightly under the upper support that the cradle will attach to, but its wire harness attach point should still be in a readily available position.
Since Bob returned the G3X cutout from the panel, I have a nice 1/16" platform to use as the floor of the cradle. He told me that piece would come in handy...and it did.
