Brief Description:  Load leveling and wire distances

I have been working on the CB load leveling and the wire runs from the battery contactor to the buses. If I flip the Auto Pilot control CB with the pitot heat CB, I can keep all four of the CB rows under 37 Amps.

Also, I read in Marc Ausman's Aircraft Wiring Guide, that for rear-mounted batteries, you can also run your bus power wires from the un-switched side of the starter contactor...which sounds like a good solution for me as that would cut down the distance that the wires would need to travel, which means smaller wire.

I am working thru the wiring, learning as I go and although it's not the most efficient way to do it - it is needed as I want to build the right electrical system for my airplane, and want to know my electrical system too.

This is the part where I tell you that should not do it the way I have done it - learn and plan better than I did. All part of the journey...as my dad, always told me, “Every education costs you something".
