Brief Description:  Panel label final test fit

With the labels where I want them (I think) I printed them out on the waterslide labels and applied them to the panel for one last verification. I wanted to get a good feel for the visibility of the labels from the pilot-eye view, so I clecoed on the top skin and installed some representative switches, lights and circuit breakers and jumped in the cockpit for some garage flying visualizations. From those visualizations, I made a few notes, just tweaks really, moving a border here or a word there, and made the adjustments on the file. At this point, believing I am ready to send off the file, I wanted to make sure that I could convert the PowerPoint to PDF and print correctly, as that is what the label company will be doing. Well, I almost fell out of my chair when the PDF and the PP printed out as two different sizes - until I checked the print options, and the "Scale" was set to "Fit to printable area" which was 107%! After changing the scale to 100% the PDF was printing the same size as the PowerPoint and my blood pressure returned to normal.

After making a few changes, I did a second label print off and test and confirmed the changes were good - of course, I had to disassemble the panel to do that but that's ok. Time well spent.
