I cut down the tubing on the GAP 26 as it would not fit into the wing / mast otherwise. I really would have liked to cut the tubes shorter but Garmin specifies that there needs to be a minimum of 8" of tubing after the heating element so that you don't melt the plastic tubing from the heated pitot tube. Now I will need to figure out how I want the tubes and wires to transition from the pitot tube.
