Day 3 started with installing the fuel injection lines. These are very small diameter lines and they are mostly bent by hand, but Connie showed me how to make the 90-degree bend with the socket treatment. Today's goal is to get the engine completed so that we can get it mounted to the dyno for a run tomorrow morning. The morning is the best time to run in the summer as it will already be hot in the morning - but too hot later in the afternoon. True to form, we (Connie) got all the accessory parts mounted and the engine finished and then she went to the dyno area for mounting. Most everything must be hooked up to the engine like it would normally be in the engine - throttle, mixture, electric ignition, exhaust, baffling and air flow. Not needed are the battery, starter, alternators and prop governor. It takes a few hours to do and we (Sam) finished getting her all ready to run first thing in the morning.
