Brief Description: more flap work - riveting lower skins, right flap
I spent about an hour devising/modifying the cradle to accept the v-shape of the flaps when sitting trailing edge down. In the end, I screwed some scrap plywood to the leading edge cradle in the shape of a "V", but with a larger gap to allow me to spread the opening a little to allow me extra room to get in there and buck the rivets. Thanks Rob - for the idea! It turned out good, and holds the flap solid while allowing the extra rivet room.
Then I went to town on riveting the rear spar - bottom & top skin connection - and riveted all of the interior ribs to the bottom skin on the right flap. I am at a bit of a loss on how to proceed with the outer ribs and how to get the most efficient use of solid rivets and only use blind rivets where absolutely necessary - so I have polled some of my build buddies...waiting on replies from Rob and Roger, but since it's late...I probably won't hear from them until tomorrow morning. Tick...tick...tick :)
