I needed to switch things up a little tonight so I decided to migrate back to working on the wing ribs (de-burring and dimpling). Recall that the bottom side of the wing ribs have already been deburred and dimpled, so I had my “primary hotty” help me flip the wings again so that I could get the top skins off and de-burring could take place. With no skins on the skeleton, the wing is light enough to handle by myself, so I was able to flip the wings for de-burring both sides of the top rib holes. With that done, I dimpled all the top rib holes with the squeezer. Unfortunately, my brain battery was running a little low and twice the squeezer made an extra “lightening” hole. Nothing structurally deficient, just frustrating. Reminds me why I need to stop working in the shop when I get tired.
