Another all day marathon of effort to reach this milestone. The canopy frame is 'assembled' and tip-up does really 'tip'. Nice feeling of progress.
Taped and secured the WD-616 in proper alignment, along with side rails, then the aft 'bow'. Lots of tweaking, bending, and filing and clamping. Only drilled the 'bow' to #40 and will have room to make further adjustments with the plexiglass as this gets to the end. The splice plate is still clecoed, too. Plenty of room to flex more.
Need a pic to show this, but should have waited to cut out the 'hole' for the latch on the backside of the bow. Know now that it was too far forward and will think about making a 'skirt' to clean it up later.
Need to order the 'reinforcement kit' from Vans so I can integrate that into the process before too much longer.
Drilled the side rail splice plates. May 'look' like a canopy frame but it is far from 'done'.
