Went aggressive on some additional fiberglass/resin on a few deficiencies; 1) Rt 'cheek' was mis-matched top to bottom, 2) Rt side of cowl bottom ring 1/8" shy of alignment with top ring, and 3) edge of inlet was missing 3/4" on outboard side of bottom (and small portion of top).
Added material, filed with rasp and coarse files. Rough sanded to contour For inlet, layed up a 6" section of glass cloth, saturated, and used a 0.025" AL scrap to clamp a mold on inlet. Rough trimmed with shears, filed with rasp. During assembly fit found that the outboard top has a small deficiency, too. Will have to evaluate how this aligns with top of inlet and rubberized 'fence'.
