Brief Description: Adjustment to elec flap covering
Installation of the canopy release mechanism has established that the elec flap option can interfere with the cross cabin tube. The front chanel of the flap elec motor housing is about 3/8" to 1/2" to close. The chanel 'can' be tilted back further to eliminate the problems but the side covers will have to be re-fabricated. And, the mount point a the top end of the chanel needs to be re-fabricated, too.
There was mention of this possible interference in the flap option instructions but it was years ago, and before I knew about the finishing kit details.
I'm thinking about a Z-bracket but a spacer might be another option. One consideration is long-term maintenance - how to disassemble for flap motor access. I've also checked to be sure the movement of the flaps controls and motor is still okay after the adjustment.
