Brief Description:  Fabricate TG-10 "kit" heat diverter

Saved a few dollars and got a little more practice with assembly, riveting, and all the other sheet metal skills. Good refresher. Bought the Vans TG-10 'kit' (unassembled) Heat Shuttle that mounts on the firewall side and diverts heat from the 'muff' on the exhaust into the cabin for comfort.

The kit is pretty basic, and says 90 minutes to assemble, so I'm slow - it took 120 mins. But I did an excellent job, and applied a light primer coat. A little attention to which side should be flush (countersunk) and borrowed a couple of missing nutplates (10-32) from some place else in the Finishing Kit. (have to remember to order replacement).

I don't really understand cutting a 2" hole in the stainless steel firewall, covering it with a very thin aluminum device, and then connecting that to a heat source (exhaust muff), and thinking of it as 'firewall' --- but guess I could have bought the SS unit instead. This will do the job.

Now have at least six of the firewall mounted devices, and getting closer to making that a major project; brake reservoir, starter relay, master relay, batt box, gascolator, heat shuttle. And, engine mount.
