Inadvertently ran across a low-time engine that would solve my 'rebuild' dilemma. Went to get my starter and ring-gear support assembly, but found an engine option instead.
Spent the evening researching the O-360-J2A to determine if a 'helicopter' engine was really just an 'airplane' engine with a shroud.
The -J2A is a -C1C variant, and that's a -A1A variant. The -J2A has 'thin wall' and wide cylinders. It's also a conical mount. My engine mount for the Finishing Kit was based on my assumption to use an O-360-A3A with a Dynafocal 1 mount. Seems like a solveable problem, and not a deal breaker.
There is also a difference in the crankshaft flange 'inserts' - and needs to be changed to the standard O-360 prop configuration. Cylinders will accomodate the planned F/I converstion nozzles. Sump is consistent with the -A3A and planned induction, no problem here.
Exhaust is bent but that's a moot point, needs to be replaced anyway.
