To install the purge valve return line, I needed to install a T fitting that allowed normal fuel feed and also a point to return the fuel being circulated from the left tank back into the right tank.
In the picture below the return line is the top feed into the T fittling, if the fuel was fed back into the left tank the net result would be that you would circulate hot fuel, so this is going to have to become part of my check list for hot starts;
