This morning I spent a few hours making and installing the fuel pickup line and vent fittings. Its all pretty strait forward, but as with all things fiddly without the right tools. I bent the pickup line by hand and managed to put a slight dent in one side, not a big deal. Cutting the strainer slots is not as easy as it looks, but I got it done and cleaned up. In hindsight I should have cut the slots before bending to make it easier to clean up. I also flared the tube using a plum-bob inserted into the tube and then rocked around to create the flare, this worked quite easily and the fitting goes together very well.
