After removing the wings we then setup to start the engine fot the first time. Pulled the plugs to blow out any oil and gave it a good crank to bring up the oil pressure.
Plugs re-installed, I am trying to follow the AFP start procedure, but I managed to over prime the engine and the first starting event resulted in a flooding the engine. The second start was mixture full rich, throttle wide open and it fired after above 10 seconds shaking like a wet dog until it cleared all the fuel out of the cylinders. Smoke billowed everywhere, after a 10 minute run we barely got the oil temps up to 115F.
After shutdown checked for leaks and there where none, let teh engine cool for about 1 hour and then started again. We adjusted the idle mixture and had it idling nicely.
I jsut need to adjsut my techometer which is displaying tiwice the rpm it should at present.
Thanks to Ian for the photo's, I also have a video which I will try to post to youtube.
