I stole this idea from some else, the issue with the tipup canopy is that once the gas structs are installed, they actually push the whole canopy forward when it is in the closed postion, thus reducing the gap you have between the front turtle deck skins which causes binding and aslo increases the gap between the front canopy plexi glass and the rear plexi glass window.
These adjusters are such a beautifully simple idea and put such a small amount of pressure on the bottom of the canopy frame, but help to achieve a great result that anyone with the same issue (probably most people with a tipup canopy) that you should install them.
Also this makes opening and closing the canopy more strait forward as there are less things that tend to catch and bind.
At this stage the canopy is still fairly floppy, but once its fibre glassed to the canopy frame it should stiffen up a fair bit more.
