I finally had a chance to do some more work on the plane, its been a hectic week at work so I did nothing last week, that combined with getting over the trip we did to Bendigo on the weekend left me feeling pretty washed out. Anyway I sill needed to pop rivet the center console in place, which meant that the undercarriage had to come off as these rivets are set from underneath. While I had the undercarriage off I took the opportunity to etch prime this area as it will no doubt see lots of water, oil and other crap over the years. I have applied the etch primer with a brush as its not a visible area and there is less mucking around and also less mess than with the spray gun. It still needs another coat of primer to cover the area properly. I then went on to prime the inside of the fuselage, I covered as much area as I could before the primer ran out. Before applying the primer the gear channel and inside of the fuse where both scrubbed with a scotch bright pad and wiped down with thinners to help the primer stick a little better. The second tow images a both a little over exposed, I got a little close with the flash....
Dropped undercarrige off so that I could etch prime the gear channel
First coat of etch primer applied with a brush, it needs one more lite coat to cover the area properly
