I got an email from Jabiru that the new cowl they are making for the XL that incorporates some of the changes made for the J400 series of Jabiru aircraft was nearly ready and that they wanted me to be the test subject to check the fit of the cowl and engine mount. So I thought I'd better get moving on having these bits of the fuse completed and ready when the parts get here. So I installed the canopy rails as per the instructions along with the rear strikers, but because I was going so hard at it I forgot to take progress photo's so here you only get to see the finished product. In these photo's the front turtle deck from the engine mount to the instrument panel has also been installed. I made a mistake when I cut the side skins of the turtle deck which you'll see in the next set of photo's, I was not paying enough attention and cut the angle incorrectly, so I have had to fix this. I also cut the top skin to follow the two fuselage side skins
