These are tapes that will give the seat supports a lot of strength. Pic 1 shows the 2 ply of BID layed out on foil and ready for cutting.
Pic 2 is detail of the layup. After a lot of 40 grit sanding and clean up I wet out the bare glass areas and then lined all the corners with flox. Both to give a good transition and to fill any gaps. Next up the tapes and a little time getting them sitting down.
Finally the carefully pre cut peel ply. This took as long as the glass layup! I'm thinking that it was particularly important as this will be a storage area so I don't want any sharp transitions. Yes I'll probably sand it smooth anyway.
