Brief Description:  Misc wiring / console / panel tasks

Probably more done here than I remember.

First off, I added a piece of aluminum to the rear of the map box to stabilize it. Since it's a bit long, and is installed without panel reinforcement, it would flop around a bit both left and right and vertical. I made the strip 2" wide to allow a bit more lateral support. Once cleco'd into position, I'm happy with the result. Rock solid laterally, just a bit of vertical movement. Acceptable.

Next, if you refer to yesterday's tasks, you'll note that I added an L=angle to the top of the console. This needed to be drilled into the cabin frame tube. I was concerned that it might be a bit off center, so I reinstalled the console side panels which pretty much straightens it all up and places it right in the center of the cabin frame. Drilled to A4 size (3 rivets).

I was a bit short with the elevator trim servo wiring, so I cut a piece from the elevator itself and soldered to the panel end of the wiring. Had to research wiring colors and Ray Allen instructions to refamiliarize myself with the wiring since I'm installing a 2nd switch to control the trim from either the stick grip or panel switch.

Once the console top was drilled, I primed it then painted in hammertone gray paint to match the panel.
