Brief Description: Finalize GRT port assignments / create L door fram
Spent considerable on email with GRT support staff. The system is very flexible, allowing a number of vendor products to interface with the core EFIS. Unfortunately, that means reading a LOT of manuals and trying to figure out their assumptions of port use, etc.
After about 6 emails, I finally received a suggested port assignment plan for the devices I'm including that require data. I put it into a block diagram and annotated same for future reference.
The other day I purchased some 3/16" bar stock. Zenith suggests taping strips of this around the door sill areas to provide spacing to allow for flexing and final fitment. Pic 2 below shows the shims taped in place.
I then worked to trim the 4 pieces of the left door frame channel; it's shipped as default lengths so the builder has to trim it to fit with the shims in place. That is shown in Pic 3 below
