This AM, #2 son came over to help torque them to the final values. There are 2 sizes of cylinder base nuts - 1/2" nut & 9/16" nut. These each have their own torque value - 42 ft lbs for the 9/16" and 35 ft lbs for the 1/2. There are also to long studs called through studs that go all the way through the center of the engine case. These through studs need to be torqued at the same time for proper engine life & operation.
There is also a specific sequence for torqueing each of the 24 cylinder base nuts. We used the Continental diagram to drive the sequence, and #2 son applied torque to the other side of the through studs.
