Brought another set of vise-grip clamps that I needed to hold the flaperons on the brackets.
Started with the left outer surface. Clamped in position. Clearances using the space template were good. Drilled pilot hole thru predrilled wing bracket into the flaperon mount bracket.
Repeated on the inner surface. Had some interference from the side window and clecos holding it in position. Will have to move the window to the inside surface since it was impeding the flaperon travel.
There was insufficient spacing between the wing and the flaperon so I used a grinder and trimmed some of the upper bracket material by a mm or two. This provided the needed clearance. Drilled the mounting brackets as for the outer flaperon.
Since the paint was dry on the struts, did final installation of both struts, and installed hardware. Could not torque because I didn't have a 3/8" socket to 1/2" torque wrench adapter.
