Brief Description:  Machine rudder cable fairlead / paint wingtips / p

The fairleads that came with the kit for the rudder cables where they exit the fuselage in the rear needed to be "machined" a bit to add a "ramp" where the cable slides; they were just a notch. Files didn't seem to want to do much, if anything, on the (?) nylon material. I found a 1/8" thick stone for a dremel tool which made short work of it. I'm thrilled.

Next up, I had previously primed the ABS material for the wingtips; sprayed it today with gloss gray that I used on other parts of the airframe like the MLG spring.

Lastly, I cleaned and primed the upper root rig skins; there are 4 in total - two aft and two that wrap around the nose rib. Aft skins shown, but I primed all 4.

Note: the fairlead material looks like the upper right corner is trimmed. I had just dabbed that corner in red paint to see if the poly would adhere to the nylon. I does, quite well. That's just in case I decide to mount the fairleads on the outer surface of the fuselage, under the fairing, instead of mounting them on the inside of the fuse. Gouged my fat arm quite a bit the other day trying to reach down in there. TBD.
