Brief Description: "finessing" the elevator to horiz stab clearance
It's been almost 3 years since I built the empennage. At the time, everything assembled with adequate clarance.
Then I noticed a post that cited an issue where a Cruzer was left in the sun for a few hours at a fly-in, and the elevator was binding because of heat expansion.
Once I riveted the horizontal stabilizer end ribs and tips in place, I still had clearance, but I was a bit concerned about how close things were. Fortunately, the plastic tips hung over the edges of the aft tip ribs enough that I decided to use my bastard file and shave a bit off each end to open things up a bit.
