Brief Description: Fab GPS antenna shelf / rivet seat back stops / fa
|
|
Small unrelated tasks, easy to complete.
First up was that since I have 2 gps antennas, I really didn't want them sitting on the top of the panel. I fabricated a shelf out of a single piece of scrap alumniium; bent the flanges, drilled pilot holes, and drilled onto firewall. Have not yet riveted.
I received my new supply of AS5 (stainless steel) rivets today, so I was able to rivet the seat back stops to the seat pans that will be mounted to the sliding seat mechanisms.
Lastly, the magnetometer does not *have* to be installed flat, but I decided to make a small mounting tray. The magnetometer must be mounted with brass or nylon fasteners, and I really dind't want nylon hardware extending below the fuselage. I figure the slight slope on the mount will allow room for the hardware, and the mount can be riveted to the airframe with aluminum rivets.
