Brief Description: Wire routing change / Console L-angle install
|
|
Spent about 45 mins prepping for today's and future work.
First, took inventory of the wire I had available to see if I had enough 20 ga wire for the flap motor. I don't. Well, I have enough red, but not black.
I had previously run some wires, mostly RF, in the fuselage longeron channels. This works well for the aft fuselage, but when all the wires start coming together, it gets busy. I felt the fuselage L angles would be too close to the wires, so I drilled some more holes in the fuselage formers to fit some grommets I had on hand for the lower-wire-quantity portions of the cable run.
Next, I dug out the console vertical L angles to which the console side will be fastened at the front portion of the seat support. I pilot drilled holes in the angles after measuring and marking. I then clamped and pilot drilled L angles to front seat support.
With the L angles now in place, the console sides were just a bit too long, to filed a relief notch in each. The right side lower console L angle was previously drilled when I was working with the fuel system. I started today by placing the left console side into position and pilot drilled to the floor L angles and to the vertical L angles that I just installed. (Console kit pieces were already pre-drilled. I then up-drilled the vertical L angles to number 30 size to support the future instasllation of A4 rivets.
I will next need to install nutplates to the L angless.
