Brief Description: Drill L angles to panel front / install EIS
Obtained new #8 hardware - nuts & washers, so finished bolting the avionic trays to the rack supports I made. Also drilled holes for rivets at the top of the triangle side brace to provide support agsint the trays sagging.
Positioned the rack assembly just so to meet my spacing desires, then back-drilled thru the L angles into the panel front. The L angles will have nutplates riveted to them to allow the entire rack to be removed in the future should the need arise.
Lastly, had to adjust the panel front by filing to fit the EIS better. It fit, but I needed it to lift up just a bit to allow 1/32" of the black cast faceplate to fit under the plain EIS bezel. Took a few tries.
