Brief Description:  Upper instrument panel cover install

Spent some time mangling the upper panel cover to fit around the cabin frame tubes, and to drill and cleco the initial pilot holes.

Installed it the first time, but the cutouts for the front cabin frame tubes needed to be filed a bit to allow the cover to push back a bit more - it would not allow the center line of the firewall to be seen evenly.

Shaved it a bit and put back. It fit better. Still was a PITA to get around the tubes. Even with 5 layers of tape around them to protect the powder coating, it cut right through the tape and scratched the tubes. *sigh*

Was careful drilling the pilot holes - firewall first since it is in a relatively fixed position, whereas the instrument panel at this point can swing fore and aft. Once the firewall was cleco'd, I then sighted the red centerline in the aft pilot holes and drilled away.
