Brief Description:  Rudder Pedal Install / MLG Mount

Cleaned up front compartment area; wiped down sides for dust and remainder of pre-paint activity. Bolted the end brackets for the rudder pedals to the floor. Greased-up the center bearing block and rudder pedal tube ends so they operated smoothly.

Obtained 2 3/4" adel clamps to mount to the top of the bearing block - 1 for fuel line and 1 for brake lines.

Plans called for AN3-16A bolts for the bearing block, but there's not enough thread protruding from the nuts; will have to replace with -17A bolts.

Mounted brake cylinders to the floor brackets and rudder pedals. The upper portion cannot be permanently fastened yet as the length of the actuator rod must be adjusted for pedal location later.

A second helper arrived (#1 son) so I got under the furselage; Tim & Betty each grabbed an end of the main gear leaf. Tried to slide over the bolt ends on the gear weldment; would not go regardless of whatever adjustments I made. Just for grins turned it around and it fit perfect. So at this point I'm wondering if Zenith ground the bolt relief notches improperly or what. Gotta call Zenith.
