Well, it's supposed to be 103 today with a heat index of 111-112. So of course I pick the time between 2 pm and 3:30 to work on the project. At least I was in the shade.
In order to put the landing gear in place, I had to rivet some parts from underneath that fit within the gear channel. The manufactured head has to be against the gear so the shop heads don't scratch the leaf.
Put in remaining cleco's to give a spacing of every-other hole to afford a tight fit. There are a combination of A4 and A5 rivets. Riveted the first pass, then removed the cleco's and finished riveting. After all that, I touched-up the rivet heads with red paint so they'd blend in. Only had to drill-out and replace one rivet.
