Brief Description:  Fwd Fuselage L angles & forward angles

Continued working on the forward fuselage angles and stiffeners. Last time I had installed the right side L-angles (3) between the vertical L angle and firewall, along with the upper angle on the left side.

Today I installed the lower 2 angles on the left side, and started installing the forward angles that go on top of the L-angles.

Because the fuselage curves, one must use the fluting pliers to effect a slight bend in the L-angles. Once those are cleco'd into place, the larger forward angles are placed on top. Because of the curve, the ends of the fwd angles must be trimmed to sit properly on the L-angles.

In the pic below, the upper fwd angle has been installed. The middle one is clamped in position, but has not been trimmed yet, so you can see it protrudes from the side skin a bit.

Because of the flutes in the angles, the builder must mark the location of the flutes in order to avoid drilling into the flutes which would create a weak rivet.

Finished installing all 3 left side forward angles.
