Yesterday I was frustrated because the trailing edge-distance-to-flaperon-bracket-hole was much shorter than the builder's guide stated. I got them pretty close/consitent between the 4, but still too short.
Today I disassembled the trailing edges and brackets and checked to ensure no twist was in the edge skins. Reassembled; checked with a laser and all was level - but still shorter than the builder's guide said.
Called Zenith. Oh, we need to update the builder's guide; with the final hole size predrilled skins, the values will be off. You're good as it is. *sigh*
Reassembled, cleco'd and fabricated 4 L-angle reinforcements for the brackets. Pilot and final-size drilled, then riveted; A5's thru the bracket, and A4's thru the lower skins.
Then spent some time riveting adel clamps inside the wing to provide stability for the pilot/static lines. I want to add 2 more, but will have to buy tomorrow at Lowes.
