Brief Description:  Tank cushioning / trial install / install rivets i

Tedious.

First off, I installed and cleco'd the trailing edges last night. Tonight, I installed the A4 & A5 rivets in the appropriate holes. Have not pulled any yet, but nothing is preventing it at this point.

Removed the tank from the wing. Used non-hardening teflon sealer on the threads of the finger screen and installed that in the side of the tank, since you can't get a wrench on it once in the wing.

Sloshed some more gas in the tank, just to make sure there were no bits of FOD in the tank. Had one little piece (organic from a tree/shrub, and unclear how it got in there). Applied cork strips as per build guide on all surfaces. Had a little slop in the fit, so addeded some strips to the inboard-most rib. This later proved to be a problem; although the tank fits nicely, it's a bit toooo far (by about 1/8") to the outboard end. As a result, the fuel sump point is right up against the skin opening, and the fuel filler would require trimimng of the upper skin in order to fully seat tightly.

Tomorrow or whenever will remove the top skin and adjust the cork strips for a better fit.
