Brief Description:  Finish up-drilling main spar; inital fit of strut

Not much time for just about anything today. It was MLB Opening Day for the Texas Rangers, so #1 son & I made our annual run out to the Ballpark to partake in the festivities.

Still, the old adage goes that you should work on it every day, even if only for 10 minutes. Fortunately, when I got home from the game, the house was empty, so I made good use of the time.

I finished up-drilling all holes to #30; this was 1/2 the holes. Once they were updrilled, without having to remove cleco's, I then updrilled the available holes to #20, the final size.

Installed cleco's in those freshly drilled holes, then removed the remaining #30 cleco's (1/2 the holes), and up-drilled those holes as well. Done drilling!

I then dug-out the remaining wing parts for the strut fitting. Determined which fitting angle was for the right wing, positioned to make sure, then updrilled some holes in the nose rib & skin to correlate to the holes in the fitting angle. Will need access to the underside (topside) of the wing in order to temporarily bolt the strut fitting into place for fitting of the angle doubler.
