Installed the new oil cooler and starter solenoid. Had to let the cooler sit for a while for the RTV to firm up from attaching the cooler ducting housing before I could install it back in place. Got the starter solenoid installed while waiting and this time I checked operation with a voltmeter and the starter wires disconnected to make sure it would turn on/off properly which it did. Got it all attached and spun the engine and got oil pressure after a few seconds of readng of zero. Follow the SB from Lycoming on this pre start oiling and its all straight forward when parts are not leaking or otherwise defective!
