Brief Description:  Tank leak and Flaps part deux

The leak in the right tank was not fixed with the last repair attempt. The leak is down to a slow weep and after very careful inspection I think I found the location inside the tank where it is coming from. Careful addition of more sealant on the inside and outside locations and hopefully this will fix it for good and I can close the tanks out.

Flaps part deux.... I made a big mistake on the flaps and didn't notice until I tried to hang them on the wings. Long story but I ended reaming out the holes in the hinge brackets to 3/8" when they are supposed to be 1/4". This left several options to correct them like using larger hardware or pressing in some bronze bushing into the holes neither of which was really a suitable repair. After discussing with the engineers at Vans, we agreed the hinge brackets needed to be replaced. Ooption was was to drill out hundreds of rivets to get back to the point where I could put in new hinge brackets. After drilling out all of the rivets, I decided there were just a few holes that I didn't like where the rivets didn't cooperate in removal. So.... I reordered all the flap parts and am starting over. The old parts were definitely useable but I am happier and more confident in using all new parts and doing over.
