Brief Description: Install fuel level senders and test left tank
Installed both tank senders. The bending diagram in the plans produces a float arm that will hit the rib and is too long. It takes a bit of massaging to get it to not hit and also hang 1/16 from the top and bottom of the tank. Per plans, the float should not touch the top or bottom. The sender comes with a gasket which is not used, instead a thick layer of sealant is used and then tightened down until there is uniform squeeze out around the sender mount. Later in the day the left tank was filled with water as a gross leak check before closing up the tank with the rear baffle. No initial leaks.
