Assembled the ailerons for trial fit again and drilled the holes for the aileron counter balance on left and right ailerons. I was afraid to mess up here after reading other blogs on drilling through the stainless steel counter balance but they came out great. Started with a center punch then a tiny 1/16 bit hole followed by the #40 hole. These get opened up to #30 holes later. Unfortunately, Vans left out the locking nuts that hold the stainless screws into the back side of the counter balances so I am stuck here until I get those parts so I can finish assembly.
