Brief Description: Enlarged tooling holes for pitot & conduit
Skipped ahead a little and looked at the steps for enlarging the tooling holes for the pitot tubing and wiring conduit runs. I wanted to get those holes drilled while I was at the deburring step prior to priming. Opened up the forward hole in 10 ribs to 7/16’s per the plans for a -4 snap bushing after verifying that the diameter was compatible with my SafeAir tubing (which is was). For the wiring run, I’m going to be using the corrugated conduit from Van’s so I opened up that tooling hole in all of the ribs to 3/4’s. I then got on with my deburring chores and deburred the torque tube components, and then ground a notch in the 1029 angle of the torque tube assembly where the angle partially overlapped the conduit hole in the 1010 rib that I had previously opened up to 3/4. I then deburred the holes in flap hinge brackets and half ribs and called it a night.
