Brief Description: Continued riveting skins to rear spar
In this session, I flipped the skin/spar assemblies previously riveted so I could add the skins for the opposite sides. Once that was done I insured all the rib halves were properly aligned and clecoed everything together. It wasn't easy getting access to the rear of the ribs, but I'm a skinny guy so my hands are just small enough to wangle the pliers into position. Once complete, I squeezed the remaining rivets that I could which left me at the point where I needed to buck the last skin-to-spar rivets with the special RV-10 bucking bar. I've been dreading this step, but it turned out to be a piece of cake. In fact, I think the rivets turned out better then the ones I bucked on the opposite skins with a standard bar. It just took awhile as I'd stop to look at each shop head to insure it was properly formed. I then blind riveted the ribs together. This was a pain in the ass due to the small space between the ribs. However, thanks to my small hands, I was able to do it without having to make the little tool in the plans. I did have to re-drill a few of the rear holes to get the blind rivets to seat, but my angle drill attachment made that a non-event.
