Brief Description:  Drilling panel radio stack supports

Switched gears and started working on installing the radio stack trays. What I did was cut some 3/4" angle to length followed by laying out rivet locations and drilling #30 rivet holes. I then located the support angles on either side of the radio cutout. I verfied that the angles were where they needed to be by test fitting the trays in the cutout. Once I was satified with the location, I match drilled the angles to the panel.

I then moved on to drilling the supports to the trays. What I did was to duct tape the trays together in order to hold their alignment to one another. I then inserted the trays into the cutout and supported the rear with a stack of wood strips and scrap boards. I just played around with various thicknesses until I got the height just right. Once the trays were in the right spot I used an angle drill to match the the trays to the supports.
