Most of the RHS side parts were dimpled today with the exception of the skins. The skins won't be dimpled until after they're primed.
I finished the dimpling of the trim tab and it's ready to bond the foam ribs in place and rivet the assembly together. I want to do the trim tab rib bonding at the same time as the trailing edge ribs so I don't have to use any more than one 2 oz. cartridge of sealant if at all possible.
No word yet from Vans on the status of the LHS skins I ordered. I'm wondering if they can fulfull the order within a couple of weeks given that the lead times for full sub-kits are several months. If I have to wait that long I'll start working on rebuilding a new rudder to replace the one that I had to scrap.
Dimpling with the reduced head male dimple
The reduced head dimple is used for the trailing edge so it won't interfere with the bend of the TE.
