Loaded and taped the stiffener and end rib rivets in place. The specified rivets were pretty short by my rivet gauge, but I suspect that's on purpose because of the ease of clenching a rivet. In any case, back riveting was uneventful.
I started to do the assembly, but realized I didn't roll the edges before I dimpled them on the skins. I tried to do t he break, but with the dimples there it wasn't going to happen. It's just too difficult to get hte roller over the dimples. You can see in the third picture how uneven it break is when you try. I asked in the RV Slack group how to proceed and the recommendation was to break the skin in between the rivets.
I had also dimpled all of the holes in the skin when the plan only called for the stiffener and end rib holes to be dimpled. I thought I was being smart by doing it all in one session, but it became obvious why you do the dimpling in stages. During the build you'll need to assemble and disassemble the ailerons several times. Waiting to dimple until your ready for final assembly makes life so much easier. Lesson learned for the RH aileron.
