Back issues limited my work session, but I managed to accomplish a few tasks. I'm surprised that this is coming together so quickly. Maybe I'm just becoming a better builder and I can do things faster.
The trailing edge was trimmed per plans, but I noticed that the aft edge stuck out quite a bit more than on my rudder. I called Van's and they said it's ok, so I'll just ignore it.
I assembled the entire flap in preparation for a good amount of drilling. Need to match drill the nose a bit and the trailing edge. The hinge brackets also get match drilled and countersunk. (Ugh, more countersinks)
Trimming the wedge. TE seems to stick out farther than the rudder did.
Initial assembly complete
This flap went together much quicker than I expected. I have a bad feeling something bad is coming :)
