Brief Description: Attach Aileron Bracket to RH Spar
It was too hot in the afternoon after work this week to spend time in the garage. Today the heat wave broke a bit so I put in a short session with the final step on the RH spar.
I decided to give the aileron control brackets a nice shade of gold to match the spar. Deburred, then treated them with Alumiprep and Bonderite 1201. I love the results, but hate the cleanup. I captured the used chemicals and rinse water in a plastic jug and will take it to the toxic waste disposal this weekend.
Finished up by torqueing the AN3 bolts to the recommended value and dabbing a bit of Torque Seal on each bolt.
The RH spar is complete!
The shade of gold matches and looks great! Too bad nobody will ever see it.
Torqued the AN3 bolts to the recommended value of 28 in-lb + friction drag (about 35 in-lbs)
